By June 2025, Ryukyu Middle School will enhance the written expression skills of all students in grades 6 through 8, focusing on clarity, coherence, and creativity.  To measure progress, standardized writing assessments and rubrics will be used, with a target of improving students' written expression scores from 70% to +75% meeting and/or exceeding, by the end of the school year, using quarterly CPAs. This will be achieved through school-wide writing initiatives that may include writing prompts, peer review sessions, and Claim-Evidence Reasoning (CER) strategies.  Strengthening students’ writing skills will support their academic success, communication abilities, and readiness for high school and future endeavors.
