Welcome to Ryukyu MS
Ryukyu Middle School (RYMS) is located on Kadena Air Base on beautiful Okinawa, Japan. RYMS is comprised of approximately 377 middle-school students (grades 6-8) and over 40 professional staff representing a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.

SY 26-27: Students at RYMS will use C.E.Rs and grade appropriate rubrics to grow in their ability to express themselves through writing.
By June 2027, RYMS will enhance the written expression skills of all students in grades 6–8 by emphasizing the development of constructive response skills. Progress will be measured by a 5% increase in written expression scores on the end-of-year ELA/Literacy Summative Assessment for students in grades 6 and 7. and PSAT end of year test in Grade 8.
